"God has perfect timing; never early, never late. It takes a lot of patience and some faith, but it is always worth the wait."
Reg & Jo-ann story is a little bit like this quote above. They knew each other for a while, but at the right time it all came together. With a little help from facebook Reg made his move and the rest is history. Their day was beautifully planned by Jo-ann. Family and friends came from far and near to celebrate with them. Amanzi Game Reserve and their staff did an amazing job at making it extra special and beautiful. I enjoy the african feel that Amanzi has to offer and gave the pics a feeling of being somewhere in in the middle of africa. During the couple session the giraffe came very near to us. And I think they were more curious as to what we are doing in their territory. Ha ha.. Reg's aunt welcomed Jo-ann into the family by giving her a homemade pair of grannies knitted socks and continuing the family tradition which granny diligently carried out by giving each new family member a pair. How special is that. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I did taking them.
Reg & Jo-ann may your days together be full of joy, love and peace. The Lord bless your union and remember the words of the pastor. When he said as excited as Reg is about his bride, that is how excited Jesus is about us when he thinks of us.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
When I think of Ciaran and Amy this scripture couldn't be more relevant to them. They have been through a lot leading up to their wedding day. But God carried them through. A few months before the wedding Ciaran was very ill in hospital. After almost turning at deaths door they found out that he had typhoid. Doctors could not explain this. He was treated and miraculously healed. A week before their wedding Ciaran was in an accident and his vehicle was written off but he came out of the accident without a scratch. God is good. Their wedding day could go on as planned.
On the wedding day it started raining just before the ceremony was about to start. The ceremony was simply moved to the porch of The Kings Haven. The rain did not phase them for one moment. Nothing could stop their joy and excitement they had to get married. Not once did they complain about the rain. The rain certainly stretched me and had me on my toes.
I meet a lot of couples and this couple has something special. When they see at each other, they look at each other in a deeper way. I could see the deep appreciation, love and respect they have between them. And I loved their humor laughing and joking all the time.
Ciaran and Amy I know God has great plans for you as a couple and if you could overcome all this you can overcome anything that you might face in the future. God is with you and His blessing is upon you always.
Thank you to Driekie Potgieter for helping me (holding the umbrella) you made my day!
Goose Hill is always a beautiful venue for that farm feel type of weddings. And that's exactly what PJ & Marne's wedding was. About an hour before the wedding it started raining. Marné was asked if she would like to move the wedding to the chapel instead of outdoors? She confidently said no! Well just before the ceremony started it cleared up and the weather was just perfect. I enjoyed working with this couple they are so comfortable with each other and easy going.
Marne & PJ may your life together be beautiful, blessed and filled with lots of happiness and joy. Thank you for a wonderful day with you both.
"Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him."
Raygan and Oshenia promised to love and cherish each other forever and always at the end of last year. Oshenia's dress was made by local fashion designer Gerhardt Shebe who also recently did a dress for Miss SA. What made it so awesome was that the dress had two parts one for ceremony and one part for reception. And both was pretty stunning. This was another Hearts Desire wedding and Anel and her team did an excellent job. Raygan and Oshenia may you be blessed in your marriage and have many, many happy years together.
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3.3-4
This couple chose Hearts Desire as the place where they said yes to each other for the rest of their lives. It's one of Bloemfontein's newest wedding venues and if you are looking for a place with a rustic farm feeling then this is your place.
Lester and Carol may you remember all the loveliness of this day and remember how blessed you are to have each other.
Will & Lizelle have been dating for seven years and their love for each other has been so evident from the very first day we met. The Wedding was held at Leopards & Lace and Michael and his team excelled once again in the awesome job of making everything look stunningly beautiful. Their day was filled with lots of special moments including the two grannies being flower girls. Will gave the most beautiful speech to his new bride and I guess it is best said in Afrikaans: "My bruid jy het my water na wyn verander, want sonder jou is ek niks. Jy het gekom en al die gebreekte stukkies van die lewe weer bymekaar kom sit en daarvoor sal jou vir die res van my lewe op my hande dra." Certainly a heartfelt speech that I will remember for a long time to come. The evening ended with a beautiful dance between mother and son to the music of Josh Grobans "You raise me up." Wishing this awesome couple many many happy years together.
When love is found it is a beautiful blessing from God. It should be treasured and carefully appreciated forever.
Manie and Chené may your love grow deeper and stronger with every passing day. May the memories of your wedding day be a reminder that there is many more beautiful moments yet to unfold in the future. Was a pleasure to be part of your day. Chene got dressed at Altissimo Guesthouse. The ceremony and reception was held at the Pepper Tree.
The Facebook friend request that lead to a special love, and a wedding day a few years down the line.
This lovely couple got married on a warm summers day in November. Sasha got dressed at the beautiful Olive Hill Country Lodge. The ceremony and reception was at The Kings Haven outside Bloemfontein in the Free State. Loved Sasha's colorful dress she wore for the wedding party. Wishing them many happy years together.
