As I look back on my childhood I remember how I loved going through our family albums. I would sit and go through every one of them and ask my mother questions about every picture. Who is that? Where are they now? Maybe it was curiosity but maybe it gave me a sense of who I am and where my family came from. Here is some reasons to consider why family photography is so important.
1. Remember how blessed you are. Life happens so fast and many times people place more importance on work and stuff instead of family. Sometimes I find people complaining while they don't realize how blessed they are. Take a look at a picture of your child a year ago? Do they still look the same? Probably not. No matter their age with each passing year they change constantly. They get taller, their faces change, they loose their baby fat. They grow by the minute.
2. Leave a legacy. You are preserving memories for future generations. Life happens and sometimes not so nice things happen. Don't wait until you lost some weight. Don't wait until you feel it is the right time. Your kids would treasure those memories one day, when they are able to show it to their own kids. They won't mind that your hair was not perfect. They will just be reminded of that wonderful time in their lives and how much you loved them.
3. Frame it and put it on your walls. Show off your family. Remind yourself of the love shared between the family. Having a picture of family on your wall is priceless compared to a work of art. Make it a priority each year to have your family pictures taken. You will be forever grateful when you look back on it one day.
